What started out as a stress relieving hobby over 15 years ago has morphed into so much more over the years. I used to go out dumpster diving several times a week looking for wooden pieces that had been discarded and had what is known as good bones, and only needed a little tender care. Not only did I find that it was really enjoyable but profitable as well, so I began to delve into biding on storage units which provided me with more items than I was interested in, but that I realized that would be beneficial to far more others than I could imagine. After speaking with my pastor, we began organizing the give – away with our monthly food pantry. Every month: more and more families in need began to show up prompting us to add two additional days every month based on the number in need and the amount of goods that I was able to provide from the storage units. This often includes cloths , shoes, coats, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, curtains, blankets and such.
