Compassionate Caregiver experienced in delivering quality support in nursing environments, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Contributed to effective patient care and strong team dynamics through critical thinking and time management. Committed to enhancing community wellness via dedicated service.
In 2020, I joined Laurelbrook Academy to serve as a volunteer Certified Nursing Assistant in their nursing home. I served in a supporting role that helped facilitate Laurelbrook academy's mission of offering Adventist education to the youth, empowering them to grow in faith and knowledge. I volunteered for 4 years, rotating between first, second, and night shifts. I gained skills in patient care, Adult CPR and First Aid, communication skills and professionalism in the workplace.
At Laurelbrook, I also served briefly as the Church Clerk from 2023-2024, under the supervision and assistance of Mrs. Beth Clayton.
In addition to these roles, I also volunteered for 6 months in the Laurelbrook nursing home kitchen, preparing meals for the residents and supervising students during shifts.
Skills Developed Through Service:
Prior to joining laurelbrook, I served as a missionary volunteer at Wildwood Center for Health Evangelism from June 2019- March 2020. This was a volunteer opportunity I decided to partake in after high school during my gap year. At Wildwood, I cared for retired missionaries, served briefly as the switchboard operator at the lifestyle center reception desk and performed housekeeping duties at the lifestyle centre and the educational building.
I also gained valuable knowledge through the Health Evangelism course on natural remedies for health and a deeper understanding of the Bible and how to apply its invaluable wisdom in my day to day life.
