Palliative Medicine.

• Provide collaborative care to patients with chronic illness while managing pain, symptoms and assisting patients and families with establishing and navigating goals of care; all while promoting quality of life in a community hospital setting.
• Attend Cancer Committee and Tumor Board meetings weekly
• Participate in Ethics Committee quarterly and as necessary
• Collaborate with pharmacists to create an end-of-life order set

• Provide telephone nursing consultations to patients and monitor the appropriateness of the medical cases in other countries
• Coordinate and monitor the medical aspects of evacuations and repatriations, including assessing the necessity of an evacuation and the means by which it should take place (Air Ambulance vs Commercial Carrier)
• Perform international medical escort repatriations when requested and administer medications both oral and IV as necessary
• Travel to natural disaster sites to provide medical relief
• Perform site visits internationally to determine appropriateness of medical care. Provide ranking for our clients.

• Provide clinical direction to graduate nurse practitioner students while attending in classroom monthly seminars
• Provide clinical direction to undergraduate senior nursing students at Mt. Nittany in the PCU/ICU with focus on medication administration, SIM lab development, procedure discussion in med/surg nursing
• Led an imbedded study abroad program with 8 students in Hong Kong 2/17
• Worked with department heads, staff and faculty to develop engaging curriculum and advance instruction for nursing programs.

Foxdale Village.

• Work with a collaborating physician in a skilled nursing, personal care, and outpatient office setting.
• Assess, diagnose, treat and prevent disease in complex patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Facilitate family meetings, providing symptom management and pain management
• POLST form initiation/training provided to staff
• Developed an End of Life Care Order Set for the facility
• Perform pap smears and breast exams for geriatric female population for preventative measures
• Provide nursing education to nursing staff

• Provide care for a 1-2 patient caseload with focus on: Fresh post-op open-heart surgeries

• High level acuity chronic and acute patients with numerous diagnosis including CHF, COPD, MODS, Liver and Renal failure, GVHD.
• CRRT certified pre-liver transplant, intraoperative, and post-recovery.
