PROFILE OF EVERTON THOMAS Everton Thomas has had a very distinguished career in education for over 27 years. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Delaware State University, Masters in Special Education from The Mico University College and a Bachelors in General Studies as well as a Teacher’s diploma from Jamaica Theological Seminary. Dr. Thomas taught at Duhaney Park Primary School for thirteen years. During his tenure he was promoted to Grade Coordinator, Dean of Discipline and was awarded Teacher of the Month in 2007. His most recent positions in administration were with the Homestead Primary School where he held the position of principal for 5 years and currently in his transformational role as principal for Innswood High School. His educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. His educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that he should educate the future generations at all levels and with varied abilities, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.
