Evia Zakovich

I am extremely passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives. During my freshman year of college, I volunteered to work with youth in my area. This opportunity helped me discover that teaching is my passion. I am open minded, enthusiastic, friendly, and flexible. I pride myself on being a person that students can confide in and trust. I am excited to bring my education and experience to life in the classroom, creating engaging and enriching experiences for my students!

Given that I have always loved working with children, I chose to volunteer at the Luxton Learners Out-of-School Program. This volunteer opportunity led me to change my degree to El Ed.
• Practicum Student, Marcy Elementary School, 01/01/23, 05/01/23, In my Elementary Education block, I was assigned at Marcy Elementary School where I was a practicum student with Kindergarteners.
• Nanny, 06/01/23, 08/01/23, I nannied for a 6-mo. old and 2-year-old over the summer of 2023.
• Practicum Student, Brooklyn Park Elementary School, 09/01/23, 12/01/23, In my Special Education block, I was assigned at Brooklyn Park Elementary School where I was a practicum student with 1st graders.
