I am currently teaching 2nd Grade at the International community school of
Addis Ababa. I served as Educational Assistants’ Coordinator and part of the Elementary
Leadership Team member where I co-constructed professional development modules and
provided Learning opportunities for Educational Assistants. I have been an educator
since 2005 with a background as a teaching assistant, teacher, grade level team leader, and
curriculum coordinator in a variety of school settings in Addis Ababa. My educational
experiences range from working in a predominantly low-income minority school to some of the
most affluent and high-performing schools in Ethiopia. She’s also taught Middle School
Ethiopian Studies in a Personalized Learning Approach. I have a  strong belief in
developing schools that are responsive to students needs and establishing a culture of high
expectations has resulted in marked improvement in various schools. I have presented
Personalized Learning in Ethiopian Studies at a Solution Tree Learning Experience held In
Addis Ababa. I received a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from
Addis Ababa University, a Master’s degree in the education State University of New York, and a
Teaching Certification from Moreland University. When not working, I love spending time with my children, Traveling, Exploring AI, and reading.
