The Resident Assistant (RA) is an undergraduate student who fosters student growth through community development and engagement. An RA assists students in their transition, integration, and progression through the community living experience. The RA is responsible for areas such as social, cultural, service, and educational engagement, as well as peer counseling, and support of an environment that is conducive to learning. The Department of Housing and Residence Life seeks students who are committed to growth, invested in community, and seeking service to others. Additionally, we seek individuals who demonstrate potential for peer leadership and will be positive role models for others.

Civic and Social Organization

The Desk Assistant contributes to the mission of Housing and Residence Life and the University of Dayton by assisting with the daily operations of the residential desks. Responsibilities include collaborating with all Housing and Residence Life staff in monitoring the halls for safety and security issues, contacting appropriate staff for maintenance concerns, maintaining desk organization, and extending a high level of customer service.

Ticket Office Customer Service Reps sell tickets and provide customer service to customers attending UD football, basketball, and other athletic events, as well as outside events at UD Arena.

The Kohl's Store Leadership Internship provides an eight week experience for you to explore various aspects within a Kohl's Store and an opportunity to lead directly alongside Store Executive Management. From Human Resources and Operations to Merchandising and Developing Teams, as a Store Leadership Intern you will be exposed to the behind the scenes of running a multi-million dollar Kohl's Store. The retail environment is evolving and so are our stores. During the internship, you will also gain exposure to omnichannel management within your store’s four walls. Learn what we sell, how we sell it, who we sell it to, and where we sell it.

The internship takes place inside a Kohl's Store where you will not only learn store operations and how to drive sales but you will also learn about our most powerful asset: Our People. You will interact with, learn about, and engage with many different types of personalities. In addition you will spend time at the heart of the company: on the sales floor with our Customers helping us better understand how to fulfill and empower lives.
