As a locum cardiologist, I am responsible for providing cardiology coverage for both inpatient and outpatient settings. This entails conducting rounds on cardiology patients and consults in the hospital, as well as interpreting echocardiograms and stress tests, and providing supervision as needed
I provide locum coverage for transfer services at Hartford Hospital, the main facility of the healthcare system, where I manage cardiology consultations in a tertiary setting that handles a wide range of cardiac needs.
In my role as a Locum Cardiologist, I oversee the delivery of cardiac care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. This includes supervising stress testing, performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), and interpreting echocardiograms, EKGs, cardiac event monitors, and nuclear stress tests.
In my role as a Academic Hospitalist my responsibilities involved delivering care to patients who required hospitalization. Additionally I had the opportunity to educate internal medicine residents on aspects of patient management. Collaborating closely with healthcare teams I was responsible, for overseeing admissions and discharges, performing medical procedures, making efficient use of resources, educating patients about their conditions and treatments and actively participating in efforts aimed at improving the quality of care provided to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
