  • Visible Tag Enablement and Public Skills Infrastructure Enhancements: Implemented visible tag support across the codebase with unit and cloud test coverage, and collaborated with the UX team to ensure smooth end-to-end integration. Added a new GetPublicUserSkills endpoint with full validation and testing, verified through FAST test tenants and ongoing integration with the FAST team. Introduced automation to consistently attach the visible tag alongside the UserConfirmed tag via updated endpoints and synchronizer processing, tested in the inner ring and currently rolling out.
  • Synchronizer Processor Improvements: Enhanced the synchronizer processor for reliability, consistency, and localization. Suggested skills are now removed when a user opts out, with a fallback to handle transient errors. Synchronization triggers were improved by tracking the processor’s last run date, ensuring updates are always processed. User skills are enriched with translations offline based on user language, reducing real-time queries and improving response times.
  • Skills in LPE and Export in LPC: Enhanced the user skills platform by extending the schema to include timestamp and implementing threat modeling for the Skills in LPE feature to ensure security compliance. Added logic and properties for skills sharing controls, updated involved APIs, collaborated with PM to finalize the data schema for skills export, added skill-level timestamps to backend responses, and implemented the export interface in the partner repository.

  • MyTeam Tab on Viva Insights Teams App (VITA): The Viva Insights Teams app is part of Microsoft Viva Insights and is an analytics and feedback tool designed specifically for Microsoft Teams. The app is intended to help team members better understand and manage their work patterns, providing a range of useful features. MyTeam tab is designed for team leaders so that they can use the app to gain insights into their team's work patterns, collaboration styles, and feedback, and take action to improve team productivity and employee satisfaction. I am mainly responsible for writing the front-end UI interface of the entire page and handling the events of the cards.
  • Adding Adaptive Cards on Email Platform: Adaptive Card is an open-source platform-independent technology used to create and display interactive card-like UI components across different platforms and applications. Viva offers an email service that sends monthly emails to users with insights based on their past data. Previously, the cards displaying insights were static, and users could not interact with them. I added an adaptive version of the delay delivery recommendation card so that users can see insights within the email and take actions immediately, such as enrolling in delay delivery feature, without having to open an external webpage.
  • Enhancing Delay Delivery Experience on Outlook Add-in: An Outlook add-in is a software component that extends the functionality of Microsoft Outlook. It provides users with additional features and tools within the Outlook user interface. The delay delivery in Outlook add-in allows users to schedule the delivery of email messages in Outlook. I enhanced the delay delivery workflow by, for example, refactoring the cards displaying delivery information on the right-hand panel and adding a module to display the local time and working hours of each recipient corresponding to the current delivery time, presenting visual information to help users make better decisions on the delivery time of current email.
  • Migration of Delay Delivery to MacOS: Previously, the delay delivery feature was only available on Outlook Windows and Outlook Web App (OWA). I migrated the complete feature to Outlook Mac. The entire migration process involved two parts of work: on one hand, I modified the codebase of Office and implemented two APIs for Outlook Mac to support delay delivery, one for setting and one for getting the delivery time; on the other hand, I updated the infra of the add-in to support all the functionalities on Outlook Mac. The Viva Insights Teams app is part of Microsoft Viva Insights and is an analytics and feedback tool designed specifically for Microsoft Teams. The app is intended to help team members better understand and manage their work patterns, providing a range of useful features.
