 Translated and interpreted for families who had recently migrated to U.S. who had difficulty communicating with teachers and other school officials regarding their children performance at school. Worked one on one with the target student to familiarize them to new environment. Contributed to student success by explaining established rules and protocols, as well as plans by school. 

Assisted refugees in Assyrian community as well as Farsi-speaking families to establish new life in Modesto by connecting with social services, as well as other resources in community, which included enrolling their children at school, finding appropriate housing, establishing utilities account, enrolling adults in local adult school or junior college as appropriate.
