- For the past 5 years I've been part of the O&M department at Metito, under the technical department as an Asset Management Engineer within the Catchment Zone Framework project (Qatar South).
- Developing, optimizing and implementing maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and cost-effectiveness of the operations and assets.
- Conducting RCM and FMECA analyses and studies to identify potential failure modes, assess the risks and determine the effective maintenance tasks to be put into place.
- Provision of technical support to the teams based on the RCM principles, as well as other technical studies and findings.
- Provision of continuous improvement initiatives and innovation proposals to enhance asset reliability and reduce costs.
- Conducting scheduled assessment of asset condition, condition grading and FMECA studies to identify potential failure modes and their criticality on the systems.
- Carrying out constant analyses of cost variances relating to chemical usage and power consumption, that is to provide the best possible cost control in regard to these elements and ensure the best practices are being put in place and integrating cost control with asset life/health.
