• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and courteous manner.
• Provides care within the scope of the LVN license.
• Interprets existing policies and procedures related to medication administration to nursing assistants, restorative nursing assistants, residents, families and physicians.
• Provides direct and indirect nursing care to residents to include administration of medications and treatments and wound care.
• Monitors residents for effectiveness of drug and other treatments, and any adverse effects.
• Documents assessments, medication administration, treatments and other interventions as described by the plan or care, physician and family notification per policy.
• Implements infection control policies and procedures.
Responsible for the coordination of patient care for multiple specialty surgical services in the PACU. Assisted in rooming the patient, obtaining vital signs, and having the patient prepared for the RN to start PreOP.
