Fostering a positive relationship between students and their education is crucial, as it directly influences their motivation. When students have a positive connection with their education, they are more motivated to excel in their classes. As an educator, my goal is to create a safe and inclusive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. I want my students to know that I am invested in their well-being and their educational journey. Elements I incorporate into my teaching are tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating diverse perspectives and materials that reflect the backgrounds and experiences of all students, and maintaining high expectations for all students that encourages them to reach their full potential by providing appropriate challenges and support. Through these efforts, I aim to build meaningful connections with my students and encourage active engagement in their learning.
