During my experience at The Ritz-Carlton, I learned how genuine care towards my guest and my team included, can create guest for life. By learning and applying our 5 Gold Standards, my passion was to create a warm, peaceful, yet refined ambiance. During my time here I grew from a Servers Attendant, to a Bar Server, then ultimately to a Guest Service Expert. As Guest Service Expert, I had the freedom to create cocktails, serve the restaurant, bartend banquet events, and fit in where I was needed the most. My main duty was that of perfect host, with the ability and knowledge to guide our guest through a wonderful experience.
At the White House Black Market retail store, in the heart of The Desert Premium Outlets, I was blessed to engage with customers to quickly find their needs and build loyalty. I greeted them, assisted in any way possible, and kept the store surgically clean. At our charming store, I worked directly with the manager and another associate where we shared the responsibilities of cashier, floor associate, and stock manager. During stock hours we received, organized, and prepared by pricing and tagging all of our merchandise.
For the Office Max Company, I gained a knowledge of laptops, iPads, and even office chairs to assist my customers. That was my main function at the Palm Springs Office Depot store and became a secondary role when I decided to transfer to the San Diego location. At the San Diego location I enjoyed scanning items and rendering the total amount to be paid. I ensured the guest left happy with everything they were in search of. I would manage, balance, and close out my own cash register, then record the total sales I made for the evening.
At my beloved first job during High School, I learned what work ethic really meant. I worked a flexible schedule, learned the duties for various positions and ensure the needs for the guest were accomplished in a timely manner. After leanring how to prepare our food items I took the role of drive thru attendant. This is the first experience I had with upselling our items, whether it was from regular to an all beef hotdog, maximizing the order size, and even recommending our delicious ice cream dessert. At the end of the day I would balance and close out my register to perfect accuracy.
