Assist in quantity preparation of foods at the central kitchen or assigned school site.
Heat, portion and serve food to students and staff according to established procedures; cut, wash, peel and assemble food items; fill carts with condiments and food items; set up packaged foods, fruit, milk and dessert items; count milk and juice containers; put food into warmers and assure proper temperature of foods according to established guidelines.
Participate in assembly line food packaging activities as assigned at the central kitchen; assist in operating an assembly line belt; place food items on plates or trays; assemble food for packaging and transportation to schools; assure proper count of food items; inspect food for portion and quality control. Assist in maintaining food service facilities in a clean and sanitary condition; operate dishwashers; wash trays, plates, counter tops, utensils, and other serving equipment; sweep and mop floors; discard trash. Perform routine cashiering duties; count money and make correct change; collect, sort, count and mark lunch tickets.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Assists and oversees the correct ringing of sales, counting cash drawers, completion of deposit slips, closing of registers, and filling out daily statement accounting sheets. Works to ensure financial goal

Monitor student behavior and activity during lunchtime, breakfast, recess or other break periods; direct students to serving line, tables, classrooms or other appropriate areas; distribute, collect and store play equipment as assigned.
Observe and control behavior of students in lunchroom, halls, restrooms, playgrounds or other areas according to established policies and procedures; report student behavior issues to appropriate personnel.
Maintain lunchroom, cafeteria, or other assigned areas in a clean, orderly and safe condition, wipe tables between meal periods, spot mop spills, pick up and dispose of paper and other debris.
Confer with students, administrators, faculty, staff and others concerning student behavior and assigned activities.
