1. Patient Care and Safety

• Safety Screening: Conducts thorough safety questionnaires (e.g., MRI Level 2 safety screening) to identify potential contraindications like metallic implants, pacemakers, or pregnancy.
• Comfort and De-escalation: Explains the imaging procedure, answers questions, and employs comfort measures (warm blankets, positioning pillows) to reduce patient anxiety.
• Transport: Safely transports patients to and from the department using wheelchairs, beds, or stretchers.

2. Technical and Procedure Support

• Room Preparation: Sets up the imaging suite, ensuring proper isolation precautions are used when necessary, and moves heavy equipment into place.
• Patient Positioning: Assists technologists in properly and comfortably positioning patients on the exam table.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleans machines and workstations between patients, maintains an inventory of supplies (needles, syringes, linen, gloves), and may prepare IV setups or contrast media.

• Duties Include: Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, locker rooms and other work areas to meet infection control standards.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or other appropriate disinfectants.
• Maintained clean and stocked storage areas to ensure availability of supplies.
