4 weeks training in the Live Poultry Department.
Make sure safety vest/coats are worn at all times on the yard.
Calculating weight of full load/empty trailers
Making sure foggers and fans are working and on according to outdoor temperatures.
Checking cages on trailers making sure birds remain calm at all times and not caught in-between cages, under trailers or loose on the yard.
Checking the handling of equipment and making sure cages are not being shaken while dumping chickens into the Hanging Pin.
Making sure Live-Hangers are hanging chickens correctly at all times.
Keeping a calculation on the number of DOA's.
Making sure enough Denuture is available between shifts.
Keeping up with voltage on the Stunner.
Observe how many necks the Stunner misses vs how many are cut by worker.
Being able to have Trailers flagged upon changing States.
Being able to do Lot Changes promptly.
Making sure the same way our Team came to work they returned home safely.
Helping Teammates perform tasks at a consistent speed level.
Being able to notify Maintenance when a situation occur and how to elaborate the problem to get it resolved.
Being able to communicate with Teammates and Management Team when an issue of corrective action is needed without causing a Hostile Environment.
Making sure House Keeping is well maintained in the Department area.
Making sure all Teammates are wearing their PPE and correctly.
Always accurately count and document hand guards and tools daily from the beginning of the shift,hourly, & end of shift.
Made assure that poultry was completely open up on arrival of next task.
Placed viscera to right of poultry with complete visibility for USDA Inspection.
Trimmed and discarded bruised or infectious parts from the Carcass.
Reconditioned Poultry before entering 2nd Processing Department.
Completely,exam Carcass for fecal,feed, & infectious body parts before entering 2nd Processing Department.
Thoroughly separated Chicken Paws between Grade A and Grade C before packed and shipped.
