I work independent that everything is organized and stays that way. I like to meet my deadlines before they are due. I had many duties I had to acquire in order to help run the store. I had to assist guests in what they wanted and looking for. I did special orders for guests. My job was to please the guest in any way possible. I oversaw ordering trucks, keeping up with my employee’s times and hours plus making sure we met deadlines. I had to do invoices and keep up with the total amount we were spending and what our profits were from the company. I had to attend meetings in Lubbock and go to shows. (Which were to go and purchase new items for the store.) I attended weekly meetings and had to maintain weekly reports of all department. I had to maintain a gain/loss reports for each week. I also had to address any issues that came across, so I had to use my critical thinking skills. I oversaw all the non-food items. I had to work overnight to reset the seasonal aisle. I worked extra hours when needed to make sure my job duties were done. I also worked in varies departments such as service counter, deli, bakery, checking, timekeeping, bookkeeping, and carrying out groceries on top of making sure my department was in order and ready for business. I have trained other employees on skills needed for when I was not there, and I had to keep track of our time and make sure we met our labor goals. I had to train to use backroom equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. We had to ensure safety and make sure we were using the equipment properly. Also, we used handheld machines to order, keep up with stock, and to do inventory with. I always made sure everything in the backroom was neat stacked nicely in a certain order to where I knew where everything was. I just tried to meet our goal which was to make a positive impact and to have superior performance.
