I may not be the smartest, I may not be the strongest, I may not be the most charismatic customer service attendant, and I may not be the most experienced worker. But no matter what it is that I am up against, I am always a hardworking, capable, resilient, and dependable worker who will be there when you call me to action.
I usually worked evening shifts which usually started from anywhere between 4pm-6pm and ended anywhere between 1am-3am. As dishwashers, we were responsible for cleaning any dishes in the restaurant that needed to be cleaned. We would bring buss carts stacked with dirty dishes in to the dish pit to wash, the line cooks would toss us sauté pans and other cooking utensils for us to clean constantly, and the food prep people would toss us their food prep utensils and tools for us to wash. While I was working in the Cheesecake factory, we were always backed up because we were never truly able to clean the dishes as fast as the fast pace that the busy restaurant was operating at, which is why we would sometimes stay late up until 3am to finish cleaning anything before we got off our shift. Also, once the restaurant was shut down, as dishwashers, our crew was also responsible for cleaning up the dishwashing room which included rinsing and sweeping the floor, taking apart and cleaning the dishwashing machine, and clearing/cleaning any counters/surfaces in the dish washing room. We were also responsible for returning any dishes and utensils back to where they belonged and bringing out any trash that was left in the restaurant. After all of that, we were able to go home.
I like playing pick up soccer and basketball and during my personal time. During my alone time, if inspiration sparks up in me, I will draw cool pictures with pens and pencils on paper.
I live in Sacramento CA but because I am a full time student at UCSC I will be living in Santa Cruz from late September to early June every year until I graduate.
