  • Purpose and Passion: The purpose of this internship was to be able to provide the City of Boulder a day of healing from the Table Mesa Shooting
  • Engagement: We communicated within ourselves as what we wanted the activities to be and for people of all ages to be able to participate
  • Building Relationships: I was able to build relationships with some of the teens in Boulder and with the program itself
  • Listening and Empathy: During our day of healing, I heard many people's stories on how the shooting affected them, from people who lost loved ones to people who were scared
  • It helped me realize that I genuinely enjoy helping and listening to people.
