I currently attend UW Seattle. Effort in school throughout the years would depict me as a hard-working individual who always strives to be the best they can possibly be. In high school I would challenge myself with honors/ap classes while keeping a high cumulative grade point average. I played soccer since the age of 7 and being on a team taught the importance of collaboration. I believe I am an individual who always tries to succeed in their individual activities. At the very first job at McDonald's I received promotion to shift manager. This didn't only teach manager responsibilities, but it made me grow as a more responsible person. I learned how to communicate with people effectively in order to create a productive working environment. People aren't easy to deal with especially in a manager position but taking care of every crew member made me see life differently. I am a person who likes to listen to other people's opinions in order to see where individual's may stand on a work decision. I can identify strengths and analyze places where improvement is needed. At Burlington I received employee of the month for May. It takes into account multiple managers decisions and customer surveys. This job made the ability to handle sales improve drastically. Also, while working shortage control, I was able to identify hazards at the door and report them immediately. Overall, the experience as a manager, cashier, and shortage control loss & prevention assistant has shaped skills into becoming a reliable worker.
