Family Practice: As a Medical Assistant in family practice at Connally Memorial Medical Center, I manage front-line patient care by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing them for examinations. Urology: I support specialized procedures such as catheter insertions and removals, bladder scans, and specimen collections for urinalysis or cultures. I prepare patients for cystoscopies and other office-based urologic exams, ensuring comfort and confidentiality. I manage post-procedure care instructions, update charts with detailed procedural notes, and coordinate follow-ups and imaging requests. My role in this specialty requires technical skill, attention to detail, and sensitivity to the personal nature of urologic care.
