Accomplishments

Jibe Ho Ventures:

  • Brokered a deal for our company to buy up all fixtures and equipment assets of 5 Orchard Supply Hardware stores in the national liquidation sale of 2018 for pennies on the dollar. We turned the equipment in six weeks' time and made a very handsome profit (over 540% ROI).
  • Successfully procured an undervalued business (Baja Fresh Mexican Grill) and leveraged capital to drive profitability over the subsequent decade.
  • Acquired 5 trust deed notes for real property producing a good base of long-term passive income for the business.

Baja Fresh:

  • Ranked #1 nationally out of several hundreds of franchises and received "Most Improved Store" Award for 2012. We increased sales that year by 30% when other stores were only averaging around 3%. I was responsible for conceptualizing and implementing our new catering business which other franchisees in the region copied and modeled theirs after for years afterward.
  • Achieved increased profitability by cutting labor costs by over 50% in first year of ownership. I achieved this by removing constraints and streamlining operations by utilizing various software technologies.

Tiger Capital Group:

  • Supervised many teams simultaneously of 20-30 employees per retail location, often totaling in several of hundreds, and because I was efficient with delegation and well organized, I consistently exceeded expectations. I received a $20,000 bonus for exceeding my sales targets by 134% in my first project.
  • Promoted to Regional Sales Consultant after only 1 successful year as a local consultant.

Hilco Merchant Resources:

  • From my initial gig with Hilco, I was recognized by a senior sales manager, Aaron Hester of Tiger Capital Group, as having done a "good job" on my first project. Hester was my first connection to Tiger Cap for which I would later consult in several projects.

Custom Liquidations:

  • Achieved a $7,000 finder's fee for effectively brokering a "whole store" buyout between Custom Liquidations and one of my buyers.

Cassia Karin Photography:

  • In 2017 I brought in over 50 new customers (inside sales) for our company (our record year to-date) to a total of 84 wedding clients.
  • Have gained several wedding venues as repeat annual business feeders through outside sales and B2B techniques.
  • Created a company-wide, comprehensive training program for all sales team members.
  • Underwent formal professional training (6 months) in technical photography and full-scale wedding operations (as a professional lead photographer) so I could obtain first-hand knowledge of the monetary value of such a company position in order to better negotiate future partnerships.

Ca' Ferrara Properties:

  • Used Microsoft Excel to create and develop inventory and other various analytics tracking spreadsheets, many of which are advanced and still in use many years later.
  • Increased profits at least 10% YOY for six consecutive years.
  • Leveraged creative financing strategies to grow the business from a single property to 5 investment properties in only 4 years with no additional outside funding.

Work History

Novus Investors Group, Equity Bookkeepers
Bakersfield, CA

Entrepreneur & Investor
01.2026 - Current

Job overview

These are two separate companies, both forthcoming. Both companies are in early stages of development, but contractors are already working on Equity. Equity's formation is projected for early 2029, and Novus the following year. I am a passive partner in both and intend to have no active roles in the daily operations. I list these here to demonstrate my ongoing creative endeavors in business. I have plenty of proven business experience in the past, here showcases my expectations for the future. Neither of these efforts will hinder in any way an undertaking of a full-time sales position with ITAMCO.

Personal

A Few Things About Me:

Life purpose: I believe the Westminster Shorter Catechism puts it best: Q1: "What is the chief end of man? A: To glorify God and enjoy him forever."

How would I describe myself? As a man of the conviction that God has made Jesus who was crucified both Lord and Christ" (Acts 2:36); also a committed family man who embraces any adventure and wants in on all life has to offer!

Favorite artist: Irish rock band "U2"

Favorite type of food: seafood of course!

Favorite way to pass the time: I love sipping a warm Islay single-malt Scotch on a chilly afternoon with my pipe and a good book!

A few of my favorite lines:

"No matter how great the talent or efforts, some things just take time. You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant."

            -Warren Buffet

"Is there any pleasure on earth as great as the circle of Christian friends by a good fire? Friendship is surely the greatest of worldly goods. Certainly it is the chief happiness of life."

            -C. S. Lewis

"...I have some friends, some honest friends,

 And honest friends are few,

A pipe of briar, an open fire, and a book that's not too new..."

            -Robert Service

"It is better to illuminate than to merely shine, to pass along to others contemplated truths than to merely contemplate."

            -Thomas Aquinas

"You have made us for thyself O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee."

            -Aurelius Augustine
