Jas Sullivan

PGL is an outdoor adventure camp for children. As Outdoor Instructor, I supervised 8-16 year old in activities such as Jacobs Ladder, Climbing, fire starting and obstacle courses.

During my time with PGL I have also completed my First Aid Certificate.

Skills Strengthened and Developed:

• Attention to detail: working with children completing activities that require safety protocols strengthened my attention to detail. Following processes and adhering to finest details of safety is a constant with the role.
• Collaboration & teamwork: talk about the variety of team sizes and the change of going from virtual tam work to in person team work
• Communication: Working across the spectrum of children with varying abilities, peers of different cultures and education levels and supervisors I focused on adapting my delivery of messages to have the most impact to the listener.
• Motivation: Maintaining the attention and excitement for children in a "no screens" environment enabled me to develop my person motivation skills taken from my studies to a different audience.
• Leadership: A true leader listens and ask questions to understand, a leader understand that simply providing instructions does not get as a good result as helping your team understand. It’s important to listen and understand, especially when people struggle using their words.

A premier, high-end fish restaurant. During my time here I was a waitress, bar tender and event manager.

Skills developed:

Customer service: going from a fast paced cafe to high end restaurant here I learnt the importance of small details in providing excellence in service.

Flexibility: Having built a reputation of reliability with in the business I was called to play multiple roles during my shifts. The flexibility from this position was founded on my ability to adjust to different environment quickly and to apply learning from my other positions into the current role.

Skills developed:

Customer service: going from a fast paced cafe to high end restaurant here I learnt the importance of small details in providing excellence in service.

Time Management: Important to manage having two jobs at the same time as well an university.

A fast-paced cafe providing fast fresh food. As a server I had full spectrum of responsibilities from customer relations to cleaning.

Skills developed:

Money Management: Working in a cash and card environment accuracy of money handling was a top priority. This included balancing the register for the day's trade.

Customer Service: Working with a variety of customer on average 100 per day taught me the value of good service delivered efficiently and effectively.

Please note: this position was held while also simultaneously completing studies and internships all of which honed my time management, prioritization and focused work skills.

Ovidrive is a global system providing fleet management and consulting services.

Skills developed:

Working in a startup environment: agility and lean resource management is a key element to working in a start up environment. In my role I learnt the importance of adaptability in my tasks and priorities

Data entry: my primary task in this role, I focused on speed and accuracy

Computer knowledge: developed my Microsoft skills for a business environment and Trello to organisation and communication within the business.
