I am fascinated by the medical field and intend to pursue a Doctorate of Medicine. I am eager to learn, gain experience, and sharpen my skills.

UHI CommunityCare Clinic Volunteer/Scribe - Miami Gardens, FL (02/2023 - 01/2024)

• As a scribe at this non-profit clinic, I provided patient care and treatment free of charge to low income families and individuals that were not fortunate enough to afford healthcare.
• My tasks consisted of checking patients in and out, dealing with medical records and physicians orders, answering calls, taking vitals, and conducting lab tests.

Research Assistant - Phage Lab, Florida International University

• Conduct research on two new bacteriophage organisms with a focus on analyzation of their genome.
• Sufficiently use bioinformatic tools and programs such as Genemark, PECAAN, and DNA Master to determine gene start, coding potential, and function .
• Create annotations for each gene of the two new bacteriophages, all the information gathered it is going to be submitted to GenBank for publication.
