Lead Engineer and Curriculm Coordinator
LEAFS is an engineering camp created to inspire young people with disabilities to explore the field of engineering by giving them access to an adaptive engineering project designed by students at OSU. In a group of three, I delivered all content for the programming section and formatted all the learning material into a cohesive worksheet for the project. I facilitated group meetings leading up to the camp. On the day of, I was responsible for both giving the initial lecture on Scratch programming and assisting children in the completion of their worksheet. In the end, we had children programming Arduino using block coding in Scratch to make their circuits behave in intended ways by controlling various sensors.
