Dear Hiring Manager:
My foundation is in Environmental Science which entails researching and monitoring current and proposed environmental rules, policies, and regulations and recommending appropriate action plans to affected internal agencies which includes developing customized lesson plans and providing training to various staff levels. I also prepare and manage several environmental programs pertaining to hazardous waste collection, risk management, stormwater, and spill prevention plans. As an analyst, I am very involved with planning and coordinating emergency preparedness as well as auditing programs for environmental compliance.
I act as the environmental liaison between internal departments and regulatory agencies such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). I organize and manage all aspects of comprehensive compliance investigations (CCI) which includes preparing citations/deficiencies responses, and meeting/negotiating compliance terms with regulators. Furthermore, I lead a team of environmental analysts in data collection necessary for wastewater and air permit by rule permit applications and renewals.
I have taken several environmental law classes pertaining to Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Oil Pollution Act (OPA), Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) just to name a few.
Although, my background is in environmental science, I am also very familiar with business processes such as marketing, project management and strategic management concepts that are very valuable in today's competitive corporate environment since my undergraduate is in business management. In my current role, I am responsible for forecasting chemical budget, preparing and developing special projects, developing contract proposals and professional agreements, and act as liaison between contractors and various departments.
I believe that my unique blend of skills and experience in the environmental field and business education sensibilities, I am confident that I could provide value to your organization.
My accompanying resume lists my employment and relevant experience I've gained. I hope to hear from you soon and I can be reached at 210 845 2865 to arrange a date and time that works for you. Your consideration is very much appreciated.
