I have served in various government and non governmental organizations locally and internationally.
As member board of management, National Eye Centre, Kaduna; special assistant to the chairman Delta State Oil and Gas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) on modular refinary. Also as a commissioner in Edo State, Nigeria in the ministry of women affairs and social development. I worked with women, families and children. Seeing yo their welfare and rights being upheld, protecting them from violence and trafficking. I also ensured that the people with special needs (adult and children) get their adequate attention and care they deserve. None governmental organizations working is similar areas where supported and monitored to ensure that they work according to government ideals and individual rights are kept. Networking was key to my work, as in government and non governmental. I facilitated the attention of government being drawn to issues militating against the less privileged, women and children to be addressed. Laws and policies were formulated to address them according to their needs as they were needed. This include but not limited to areas like trafficking in women, girls and children. Domestic Violence against women and children, including those with special needs. Family tracing was also carried out to ensure families are reunited and supported with skills and funds for sustainability.
I also served as Consultant to both international and local organizations. Amongst which are UNIFEM now UN Women, UNITAR, UNDP, the embassy of Canada under Canada Fund and Norwegian Embassy. I set up local NGO called Forum of Nigerian Women In Politics (FONWIP) to address women's rights and their under representation in politics and governance, including other forms of women and girls child rights. Survivors of domestic violence and trafficked are supported with skills and business money.
I'm a board chair of Foundation builders, a youth based NGO and Child Protection Network of Nigeria(CPNN) as well as a co-founder under UNICEF. I am a matron to Christabel Otueroro Foundation an NGO for special needs children. I also work with similar organizations to carry out our mandates. I am a commissioner in United States Embassy for Peace, a 501c organization, currently working in the area of early childhood and family, with particular reference to teenage mothers. I care and support orphanage home in Africa with over a 100 abandoned children.
