With over thirteen (13) years of progressive experience in managerial and technical roles within the education sector, I have honed my ability to foster teamwork and build impactful collaborations with diverse partners and stakeholders. In my recent assignments, I successfully collaborated with a team of dedicated professionals to provide essential managerial and technical support for national-level education programs in Malawi and Zambia.   • I provide technical inputs in the formulation, development, design, administration, management, and monitoring of USAID/Malawi’s early grade education activities
  • Under the guidance of the Education Office Director, I support in providing technical oversight to USAID/Malawi’s flagship early grade reading activity under the Malawi Government’s National Reading Program (NRP)
  • My role works closely with the Implementing Partner/s of education projects, the Malawian Government, and other key stakeholders involved in basic education programming in Malawi
  • I Coordinate with stakeholders to establish clear objectives, expectations, and communication channels for successful project outcomes.

  • The MERIT Project, was funded by USAID and DFID, a national program aimed at improving the reading abilities of Malawian learners from standard 1 to 4 across the country
  • My key role involved providing technical support in the development and implementation of teacher professional development initiatives and teaching and learning materials development activities to facilitate effective teaching and learning in the early grades (Standards 1 – 4)
  • Specifically, I supported the development of teacher training and literacy coach training materials by the Ministry of Education (MoE)
  • This included providing Ministry of Education (MoE) staff with technical guidance and building the capacity of trainers and MOE staff to prepare and use the materials
  • This resulted in nationwide school-based Teacher Learning Circles
  • I further trained master trainers and oversaw the rollout of nationwide teacher trainings
  • My role planned and coordinated in-service teacher trainings, community mobilization and engagement, and coaching support for teachers and community volunteers on how to engage learners in reading activities after school
  • Overall, the training and materials reached more than 30,000 educators

  • This included preparing and producing quarterly and annual work plans, quarterly and annual progress reports and other programme/project related documents
  • Designing monitoring tools and frameworks, working with other professionals to design and implement the communication and knowledge management strategy
  • I also acquired experience in resource mobilization, documentation of success stories, proposal writing and budgeting and community engagement and mobilisation
  • My other role was to ensure integration between Education programs and other existing programs in Health, Nutrition, and Agriculture in the communities within World Visions reach
