I am a small business owner who has been recognized by Food Network for my baking skills. I have experience in baking and business. These experiences have allowed me to develop great time management, business management, and people skills.
I competed on Kids Baking Championship Biz Kids, and I made it to episode 3! I was then asked back to be on a holiday special. This experience helped me develop time management skills because I had to bake under pressure and time constraints.
I have made over 2,000 dollars from my baking business, Dessert Before Dinner. I was also on Kids Baking Championship Biz Kids for this business. From this experience I learned how to manage a business, calculate my gross vs. net income, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and that the customer is always right!
I write articles about current events in the world and my school. Some things I have written have been about AI and school phone policies. This experience has taught me how to clearly communicate messages.
I invest money that I have earned from my baking business and from monthly cash flow into a property that my parents own. They run a real estate investing business called Smith Property TN. I have now invested $8,000, which is exactly 20% of the property's down payment. This has given me hands-on investing and monetary management experience.
I won best the best delegate award at this conference. This experience allowed me to research current global issues and become more aware of the world around me. It also helped me polish my public speaking skills as I gave multiple speeches in front of hundreds of people.
I consistently worked 6 hours a week for these 2 years making desserts and breakfast items for Beth Sokol Meals.
