I have worked in a variety of roles since 2015, each one different from the last. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong interpersonal and decision-making skills while continually adapting to new environments and challenges. With every new position, I encountered situations and responsibilities that pushed me to grow and learn in ways I had not previously experienced. One value I take particular pride in is my compassion for helping others. Having personally experienced both ineffective and highly supportive advisors, I understand how difficult college can feel when students believe they do not have someone in their corner. At the same time, I also know how impactful it is to have an advisor who is genuinely present, supportive, and willing to help students navigate what is often one of the most stressful and expensive periods of their lives. Because of this, I am passionate about being someone students can rely on for guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their academic journey.
I have had a stutter since childhood, which can sometimes appear when I am introducing myself for the first time or speaking in front of a group. However, once I become comfortable in my environment and familiar with the people around me, it rarely affects my communication. Living with a stutter has helped me develop patience, resilience, and a strong sense of empathy for others who may face personal challenges. It has also strengthened my ability to listen carefully and communicate thoughtfully, qualities that I believe are especially valuable in roles that involve supporting and advising others.
