Attending Directed Services (ADS) Telemetry

• Providing care of Acute and Chronic cardiology patients with Advance Heart Failure, Structural Heart Disease, Myocardial Infarct, and Coronary/Peripheral Artery Disease
• Managing all phases of pre/post procedure patients with Right and Left Heart catheterization, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) or Mitral clip
• Continued managing all pre/post EP patients as listed below
• Order appropriate diagnostic laboratories tests, and imaging’s based on patients’ diagnosis
• Collaborate with Doctors, as well as various specialties’, in determining the best plan of care to admit patients
• Coordinate with inpatient and outpatient services to streamline discharge process and prevent hospital re-admission
• Emphasis on educating patients based on their disease process, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
• Treating and managing all aspects of COVID-19 patients –2020 during the outbreak of COVID-19
• Training and mentoring new NP employees hired on the Cardiology service.

Electrophysiology Service

• Collaborating with Physicians in admitting patients with various arrhythmias: Supraventricular Tachycardia, Atrial Fibrillation/Flutter, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW), Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC's), and various types of heart blocks
• Admitting and discharging patient pre/post procedures: Ablations, PPM implant, ICD implant MICRA implant, Watchman/Amulet implant, and Implantable Loop Recorders
• Monitoring patients admitted for Antiarrhythmic drug Induction: Dofetilide and Sotalol.

Non-Inversion Cardiology Echocardiogram Lab

• Triaging, obtaining HPI and consenting both inpatient and outpatient patients for appropriate tests
• Perform Exercise Treadmill, Dobutamine, and Nuclear Stress tests
• Consent patients for Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and monitoring during and after test.

Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit/Open Heart

• Providing care to chronic and critically ill patients with MI, CHF, Cardiac Arrest, and Strokes
• Hypothermia therapy
• Perform pre and post care for Open Heart Surgery, Cardiac Catheterization, and Electrophysiology procedures patients
• Provide Ventilator care and hemodynamic monitoring with devices such as, Swan-Ganz, Arterial line, and cardiac output
• Caring for patients with an IABP, CRRT, and Hypothermia therapy
• Perform Charge nurse duties, and delegating duties appropriately
• Preceptor of new nurses on the unit as well as nursing students from Columbia university, Long Island College, and Pace university
