I am adopted and spent 7 years in an orphanage in China. That experience shaped me. I thrive on being busy. I have had numerous part-time jobs, and I enjoy being around people and playing on teams. In high school, I was a varsity basketball player and worked on the paper and yearbook! Now, I swim, play pickleball, and tennis with my family, the people who love me and have helped shape my future. I’m honest, hardworking, and responsible, and I’m always striving to improve myself.
As an associate at Uncommon Leadership I demonstrate and assist leadership training, as well I participated in all class debriefings.
After three successful years of being a camp counselor, I was promoted to basketball coach. As basketball coach, I planed and lead practice sessions teaching kids aged 5-13 new skills to help them improve their teamwork and confidence on the court.
I started as a camper at the Saturday Morning Program (SMP) when I was very young, enjoying all the fun activities. As I grew older I became a camp counselor. Every Saturday I create a safe, positive, and fun environment, supporting my campers by encouraging teamwork and confidence, making sure every camper has a fun time every Saturday Morning.
As a camp counselor, I was responsible for leading and supervising groups of campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
As a CIT (counselor in training), I learned the importance of leadership, how to communicate effectively with campers, and how to create a positive, safe environment.
