- Responded to requests for Infection Prevention and Control Assessments (ICARs) in respective regions (22 counties) from county health departments.
- Reviewed National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reports and analyzed Merlin data to drive outreach for conducting ICARs .
- Conducted approximately 15 to 20 ICARs per month and submitted completed reports into the RedCap database for health care and other facilities including dialysis, LTCFs, hospitals, jails and homeless shelters.
- Provided written recommendation reports to facilities using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) infection prevention guidance after onsite assessments.
- Collaborated with and trained county health department epidemiologists on conducting onsite ICARs.
- Conducted continual outreach to long-term care facilities (LTCFs) to identify ongoing or new infection prevention and control needs.
- Educated facility administrators, director of nurses, and infection preventionists about infectious and communicable disease transmission and prevention.
