Pioneered Seniors First non-profit programming to reintegrate senior citizens back into the community improve the cognitive development of senior citizens by providing healthy meals recreational environments at A.B Palmer community center; Modeled and demonstrated the importance of mentorship programs to community youth using Rites-of-Passage with exemplified legacy; Incorporated Seniors First Inc as a 5013 and a 509 (a)2 in 2018; Organized health fairs and job fairs for low-income seniors and dislocated workers in vulnerable communities; Orchestrated and launched NIP (Neighborhoods In Progress) grant proposals with City of Shreveport Community Development to meet the immediate health care needs of senior citizens; Initiated and cultivated community “healing” (natural herbs) garden with Seniors First members and volunteers located on Eve Circle in Eden Gardens; Revitalized and transformed Eden Gardens Elementary School’s gateway with 50 “Knock-off Roses landscape initiative; Spearheaded and organized, the 2022 Cedar Grove Juneteenth Parade and Celebration with special invited guest Award-winning Author, and Actress Nita Whitaker; Revitalized community engagement with youth-based sports during the 2022 “Hoop Don’t Shoot” basketball tournament at A.B Palmer Park and Recreation Center to decrease violence amongst youth city-wide(July 2022); Collaborated with LSU Agricultural Department, after the COVID epidemic, to introduce advancements in digital technology to seniors, to provide arranged basic computer classes to narrow the digital divide relative to the senior populations (Feb-April 2023); Appointed Chair of The Cedar Grove Art Mural Committee culminating the Cedar Grove 100th Birthday Celebration ending in 2027; Established partnerships with SPAR, Community Renewal International Haven House and Friendship Houses, LSU Agricultural Dept, STEM NOLA, Community Action Agency, Family Helping Families, LSU-Ochsner, Goodwill Industries, Pelican Bayou Counseling Agency, Shreve Memorial Library, Tazikis, Brookshires, Papa Murphy’s, SRAC, KSLA Channel 12, KTBS Channel 3, FOXX KMSS Channel 6, and ALPHA media.
