IPlan is Uniprise's consumer-driven solution for large employers to reduce cost for the companies and to provide their employees with increased choice and control over their health care decisions. GFLX – GROUP FLEXible Spending Account (FSA) is a Claims Processing Application. It integrates with lot of other Applications like CES, Ebill/People soft, Wildcard, TOPS/UNET, Summary Check, Orbit, UCAS (Claim Accounting System), myuhc.com etc.
- Flexible Spending Account lets employees set aside a certain amount of each paycheck before paying taxes on that income into an account. An FSA lets the employee use pre-tax dollars for certain eligible medical and dependent daycare expenses. By setting aside money from each paycheck, the employee reduces his pre tax income and has money available when needed to pay for covered services.
- The Personal Benefit Account (PBA)/Health Reimbursement Account is also a powerful new component of GFLX what is sometimes called a consumer-driven health plan or a self-directed health plan. The Personal Benefit Account (PBA) is money provided by the employer that is available for qualified health care expenses. It will reimburse employee for initial health care expenses that are covered by their benefit plan. This pool of money may be used for paying their deductible or other eligible expenses related to the cost sharing in the medical plan. GFLX receives and processes the Claims and pays the claims out of the two accounts (FSA & PBA) maintained optionally for an Employer/Policy Holder/Customer upon the choice of Employer/Policy Holder/Customer. Choice of Accounts (FSA or PBA or Both) is made available at Employer/Policy Holder/Customer level and also at the Employee/Member level.
