My job being a housekeeping dispatcher is to prepare room attendants daily room task, check email for any previous complaints and come up with a solution and report the matter to your immediate supervisor/manager. Assign any requested time of maid service. For arriving guests, I assign all the traces to the runner to deliver guests request prior to arrival. Answer calls from guests and dispatch the request to the right department. I have also work as a daytime supervisor ( quality controller). My duty is to make sure that the room is ready for the next guest. Monitor my crew and remind them to check for any guest request for that day. I also work as a night supervisor reliever. My duty includes supervising the night crew. Help out in any way I can to ensure smooth flow of the operation, check the hotel premise for any trash and leaves for that matter, to make sure that restrooms are up to standard when it comes to cleanliness. Monitor the lobby and check and release rooms that are needed for hospitality rooms the next day. I also work as a swing shift dispatcher. My duty is to make the turn down task, feed the swing shift houseman for any task undone. Update the computer for all the morning supervisors and room attendants task. Record all rooms that has " do not disturb sign" and assign to the turn down attendants. Before my shift ends, I have to input in the computer all the refused and do not disturbed sign so it will be given priority for cleaning the next day. Record all the credits that they have cleaned for the night.
