After earning my Bachelor's degree in Music Education, I completed the required post-baccalaureate education courses and earned my teaching credential. I successfully passed the California Teaching Performance Assessments and fulfilled the CBEST requirements. I completed a year of student teaching at Roosevelt High School and El Sereno Middle School. As a student teacher, I taught mariachi ensembles, string ensembles and beginning orchestra. I was mentored by my master teachers and university mentor throughout my student teaching experience. Now, at Esteban Torres High School, I created a newly formed music program for all students. I'm currently teaching modern band, instruments and beginning band to all high school grade levels. My goal is build a comprehensive music program that can offer various music classes to all students.
