Work History

Lead Properties Specialist

GE Gas Power
2019.01 - Current

As the Lead properties specialist my main focus is on driving the office footprint strategy for the EMEA regions (Europe, Middle East and Africa), while providing additional footprint management support to the NAM, LATAM and ASEAN regions as well (Americas and Asia Pacific). Since 2021, $11.6M savings have been achieved by driving office footprint optimization initiatives, just in EMEA.

  • Schedule weekly meetings with extended teams from CBRE, EHS, Security and IT to review all active sites per region and drive annual strategy for each. Schedule recurrent meetings with business operational leaders to understand the business requirements (operational, legal, safety and security) for each site.
  • Schedule recurrent meetings with regional senior leadership teams and business supporting roles (SEB and HR) to drive regional strategy and ensure alignment with each office site in each region.
  • Track and drive optimization of facility management costs for each site. Schedule recurrent meetings with Facility management teams to determine budgets.
  • Support business requests to build new office spaces with goal to optimize long term costs and keep drive right-sized footprint approach. Partner with CBRE project teams to ensure new builds are completed within budget and within determined time frame.
  • Prepare business cases for each new site build, new lease or lease renewals to support the business in requests for funding.
  • Track utilization of all sites in each region to determine the strategy to optimize cost and footprint occupied.
  • Drive standard work in order to ensure EHS, Security and Legal compliance across all active sites. Ensure compliance in following standard process for each tollgate while bringing site projects to completion.
  • Attend Kaizen events to support identifying areas of opportunity to streamline, standardize and/or simplify the lease execution process.

Rooftop Portfolio Manager

GE Power
2016.12 - 2019.01

As the GE Power Portfolio Manager I was mainly charge of driving the GE Power global warehouse and industrial site footprint strategy, while providing footprint management support to the global office footprint as well. My oversight included the Power, Grid, Nuclear, Power Conversion and Field Services footprints.

  • Develop and maintain the global GE Power warehouse/industrial sites tracker to have oversight of footprint size, lease cost, FM costs and lease expiration dates.
  • Have weekly meetings with the sourcing team to drive cost and footprint optimization during lease renewals, lease exits or new lease agreements.
  • Drive the 3PL (Third party warehouse providers) strategy to ensure 3PL agreements are cost competitive and fall within the regional business strategy.
  • Align the warehouse footprint strategy, and cost according to the regional inventory volumes (parts in order vs. stored vs. delivered).
  • Develop the office footprint optimization plan during COVID19 pandemic (drive lease and office cost down while employees were asked to work from home) as well as develop the plan to bring employees back to the office as pandemic situation normalizes.
  • Schedule recurrent meetings with regional GE Power business and HR executive leaders to develop the strategic cost optimization plans for each region (i.e. office site exits, consolidation or footprint optimizations).
  • Provide oversight of the office facility management costs, and drive optimization projects to reduce operational expenses.
  • Drive company inclusion by ensuring that business leaders, HR leaders, sourcing leaders and business operatives are all aligned to the Gas Power Senior Leadership metrics and financial goals.

  • Manage GE Aviation's repair shop resources to develop repair schedules and strategies that anticipate potential mechanical issues in turbines engines that might bring cost pressures to the airline operators.
  • Analyze customer field data to identify wear and part failure patterns to develop the parts inspections and maintenance strategies.
  • Drive multiple cost optimization projects with design engineering to optimize the durability of turbine parts to lower cost of ownership throughout the turbine engine's life.
  • Work with GE repair engineers to implement and/or optimize repair procedures that mitigate field issues identified by the airline operators and/or repair shops.

Supply Chain Engineering Support

GE Aviation
2011.08 - 2014.01
