Instruct 4th year students in the IEC Electrical Apprenticeship program. Prepare students in their final year of apprenticeship to enter into responsibilities required as a Journeyman Electrician. Part time in the evenings. I am employed with IEC but my payroll is from
Community College of Baltimore County.

Perform electrical maintenance duties while being accountable and responsible for a quality and workmanlike standard across main campus and two satellite campuses. Contribute to a team setting by assisting other trades/tasks when necessary. Customer service mindset as we often communicate directly with students, faculty, and staff. Use of Microsoft works to create/close work orders and record keeping, online blueprint database to access building infrastructure information. Assist Capital Projects & Planning with campus projects and reduce the use of outside electrical contractors. Work with management in reducing energy use by LED conversion projects. Acquired and kept my own electric shop stock, materials, tools and supplies. Performed snow removal duties in the Winter months. Respond to emergency call-ins when necessary. Performed general repairs to maintain or upgrade facilities. Maintain ,operate, repair, install components and systems that support the facility and infrastructure and other building components as necessary. Troubleshoot electrical issues and use of electrical test equipment. All other duties as assigned.

Performed all duties expected of an Inside Journeyman Wireman. Primary duty to complete electrical trade tasks with the use of blueprints and job information in a timely and workmanlike manner to achieve the larger goal of completing commercial building construction on time. Give direction and provide "On The Job Training and Experience" to the apprentice(s) assigned to me.

Assisted Journeymen Electricians in completing tasks in a timely and workmanlike manner. Level of difficulty in tasks varied. Goal was to assist in completing tasks while also learning how to perform effectively as an electrician and gain knowledge/refine skills necessary in the electrical trade.
