  • The Senior Inventory and Maintenance Supervisor is a hybrid role providing maintenance services to yard equipment, provides updates to the electronic shipping and receiving inventory system in real time, and uses motorized and non-motorized tools and computerized equipment to assist the shipping and receiving team to receive, inventory, retrieve, and load all incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring material integrity, distributing to the proper location safely and efficiently, and maintaining accurate inventory.
  • Be the facility expert in Epicor and able to perform all Epicor functions to update the inventory system in real time to ensure accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing material, including accurate count, condition, and part number; pull reports; upload and download accurate BOM’s and inventory; and provide continuous training to the shipping and receiving team on the Epicor system to ensure business continuity.
  • Working collaboratively with the Shipping and Receiving Lead, load/unload flatbed trucks and trailers, van body trailers, and reefer trailers, while maintaining an organized yard and warehouse at all times.
  • Responsible for quality on pick and pack orders according to work orders and schedules.
  • Responsible for following all aspects of SOPs to ensure work is being done accurately and efficiently.
  • Implement and assist process improvements.
  • Participate in LEAN initiative and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements.
  • Participate in Environment Health & Safety (EHS) related actions, periodic and routine EHS inspections, and housekeeping, to improve site safety.
  • Work closely with other departments to process/ship orders on time and reliably to the BOL.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and operate all vehicles and equipment within safe limits as set by manufacturers recommendation or local law to minimize the risk of injury or property damage.
  • Working collaboratively with the Mechanic team, provide periodic, routine, and restorative maintenance to yard equipment to include, but not limited to, lulls, skid steers, forklifts, and other small equipment, tracking all maintenance activities, hours, and materials in the equipment maintenance system, escalating major repair requests to the Fleet Manager.
  • Demonstrate positive team behavior that contributes to efficiency, productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Attend all pre-shift safety and production meetings according to schedule, participate in daily team stretching exercise, and support end of day site clean-up.
  • Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned.
  • Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policy.

Position Qualifications

3+ Years, Electronic Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, or related, 2+ Years, Equipment or Vehicle Mechanic Maintenance or Repair, Adaptability, Flexibility, Communication, Initiative, Accountability, Teamwork, Safety, Work standards, Time management, Stress tolerance, Intermediate computerized inventory system skills, Familiarity of tablet or iPhone technology, Maintenance and repair of motorized lift equipment, As a condition of continued employment, this position requires the incumbent to hold at time of hire and maintain throughout employment a current and valid OSHA 10, a Forklift or Lull certification, and a valid and unexpired Driver’s License from the employee’s state of residence. Incumbents failing to maintain these requirements may be subject to unpaid suspension until the requirements are met, or separation.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed mostly in remote outdoor and uncovered areas exposed to varying elements, allergens, weather conditions, temperatures, and wildlife. Work requires large amounts of time spent standing, stooping, kneeling, bending or twisting at the waist, and walking on uneven or slippery ground conditions., Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. unassisted., Will be routinely exposed to loud noises (100+ dB)., Must be able to work in sustained extreme temperatures (less than 10 F, more than 90 F)., Will be required to wear PPE including, but not limited to, safety boots, hard hat, eye and ear protection., Must be able to give and receive verbal communications in English for HAZCOM., Will occasionally interact professionally and negotiate positively with emotional customers., Will be required to lead team through emergency situations requiring immediate corrective action to prevent project degradation, or prevent personnel injury, requiring the performance of CPR/First Aid.

Work Conditions
