• Sets up welding unit (MIG, TIG, resistance, spot, stud, ) to desired amperage

• Under limited supervision, performs welding applications within work teams

• Checks inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available, and if necessary, requisitions appropriate quantity of items from

material handler

• Selects appropriate weld jig then positions and secures piece parts in weld jig

• Makes appropriate adjustments to welder for application required

• Tacks and performs quality MIG weld, meeting required specifications and

maintaining tolerances

• Able to perform smaller weldments

• Read and interpret blueprints to customize canvas/awnings for customers
• Aluminum welding using MIG and TIG processes
• Use of bandsaw, wood saw, etc
• Grind and sand for finishing technique
