• During my 19-year career, I spent 12 years as a Facility Training Officer and trained over 500 new Deputies on how to properly and safely perform their duties, while developing a strong operational understanding of the department's policies and procedures.
• I developed the department's electronic weapons program for custody and patrol divisions. Interacted professionally with citizens during routine patrols and while responding to calls for service.
• I was the department's first Master Taser Instructor and trained 100+ instructors and more than 1,000 user level law enforcement officers.
• During my 19-years as a Deputy Sheriff, my duties included, but were not limited to the following:
• Performed administrative tasks such as completing paperwork, filing documents.

• During my 8+ years of service, I served as an aviation hydraulic shop supervisor for four years, and the combat rescue operation group First Sergeant.
• As a shop supervisor, I was responsible for the daily operations of aircraft maintenance and the leadership/development of all Airmen assigned to the shop.
• I achieved the rank and position of Operations Group First Sergeant and was responsible for the training and development of over 500 Airmen and their families.
• Additionally, I was responsible for all matters regarding enlisted members. I reported directly to the Operations Group Commander in the form of daily oral and written reports.
• As the First Sergeant, I worked closely with Command Staff while maintaining a connection with the lower enlisted service members and their family.
• I developed the unit's family care plans and participated in military and civilian relations outreach programs.
• I worked closely with the Military Judge Advocate General (JAG) to ensure service member's rights were not violated during interviews or legal proceedings.
• During my career, my daily duties included, but were not limited to, the following:

During my ten years of active military service, I achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7). I served my first three years as an infantry mortarman (11C), and my final seven years as an aviation hydraulic maintenance technician and supervisor.

During this time, I attended multiple personal and professional leadership development courses. I obtained multiple teaching credentials to include firearms instructor for large and small arms, landmines, nuclear biological chemical (NBC), and a master driver rating and instructor for track and wheeled vehicles.
