During my ten years of active military service, I achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7). I served my first three years as an infantry mortarman (11C), and my final seven years as an aviation hydraulic maintenance technician and supervisor.
During this time, I attended multiple personal and professional leadership development courses. I obtained multiple teaching credentials to include firearms instructor for large and small arms, landmines, nuclear biological chemical (NBC), and a master driver rating and instructor for track and wheeled vehicles.
