I have coached at several Bay Area high schools including Live Oak, Sobrato, Gunderson and James Lick, as well as multiple Little League teams.

My own baseball career began in San Jose Little League at the age of five, and progressed through my senior year in high school where I led the newly formed Independence 76ers Varsity team to the CCS Championships (co-MVP). From there I was drafted in the 12th round to play professional ball with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. Upon retirement I coached for the Babe Ruth League (youth ages 13-18) and then led a Mens Senior Baseball League to the World Series in Arizona and Nevada two consecutive years.
