Engaging with customers and escorting them to their cars with their groceries.
After four years, moved up to night stock where I spent next twelve years stocking shelves and building displays.
Johnson Controls/Clarios produces automotive batteries.
Started out as gauger which regulates acid level in each battery where spent first four years.
Would also do odd jobs around plant for little extra overtime.
After that, went to assembly line where inspected plates for defects before they were allowed to go into the battery.
When that job was eliminated, I transferred to general labor which does odd jobs around the plant but focuses on lead waste disposal.
This is where I learned to drive a forklift.
