RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provisioning Databases and configuring appropriate HA/DR strategy based on the RTO/RPO of the business Division
• Configuring, Maintaining and troubleshooting Log shipping, Mirroring, Always On Availability Groups, SQL server Failover cluster on Same and multiple subnet
• Carrying out performance tuning task on a regular basis on issues ranging from query tuning to index optimization, TempDB issues, to IO, High CPU usage, severe blocking, long running query, Always On out of sync, Mirroring out of sync, Log shipping out of sync
• Maintaining SQL Server Cluster setup and configuration
• Patching of Standalone and Cluster instances
• Migrating and Upgrading SQL server from Legacy to 2012, 2016, & 2019 and Azure
• Creating and supporting ETL processes to SQL server, Access to SQL server, Excel to SQL Server
• Managing permissions and security
• Monitoring daily, weekly, Monthly and quarterly Maintenance Task, ensuring that its successful and jumping in to resolve issues when there is failure
• Automation of repetitive task Using PowerShell
• Carrying out regular health checks across servers using PowerShell scripts
• Maintaining database space issue, resolving excessive log growth issue, and Normalization of DBs
• Worked with other team members to implement changes to servers, instance and databases
• Provide regular support to application owners and developers
• Supporting Reporting Servers (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Deploying changes and rolling back changes from production

• Implementation of SQL Logins, Roles and Authentication Modes as a part of Security Policies for various users
