Hammer Federal Training Center Teamster Performance of various responsibilities as a Hammer Teamster including but not limited to, classroom and prop setup including materials needed. Working as a team with immediate supervisor and other instructors and managers so work can be preformed as productive as possible. Operation of aerial lift, scissor lift, forklift and DOT box truck. Warehousing activities delivering incoming freight throughout the campus where assigned. Upkeep of campus grounds using mowers, edgers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment where needed. Assist Fire Training Program Manager as needed.
HMIS/M.S.A. Locations - 100-N, 300 Area, PFP, Roads and Grounds Appointed as driver trainer to ensure bargaining unit employees that required OSHA forklift re-certification and new bargaining unit employee certification for forklift classes 3,4,5, & 7 was accomplished through specific training procedures, questions, and observance during forklift skills testing. Completed all required paperwork related to forklift training, qualifications review, record keeping, and re-certification date requirements. Other teamster duties included snow removal of all assigned areas, repair and replacement of road signs, documentation of repairs and replacements made. Operation of water trucks, dump trucks, snow plows, flatbed trailer, lowboy trailer, tilt deck trailer, asphalt truck, roll on roll off truck and all classes of forklifts. Hammer Federal Training Center Worker Instructor - Certified Worker Instructor for classes of 40 hr. Hazwoper, 8 hr. Hazwoper refresher, and D.O.T. Load Securement classes. Helped coordinate efforts with 5 other team members engaged in developing new yearly curriculum for above aforementioned classes with new presentation material created with use of Microsoft Office. Truck Driver / Lead Worker / Trainer - Instructor Daily responsibilities included but were not limited to; Oversee, dispatch, & field supervise a crew of 30 bargaining unit personnel as an acting lead worker during swing shift operations and acted as field work supervisor as needed. Collected and utilized end of shift route productivity information to complete job specific spreadsheets to pass on to incoming day shift supervisor. Appointed to act as time card proxy for employees to ensure times inputted were correct based on billing codes per jobs assigned for the week.
