  • As principal of Friday Harbor High School, I accomplished the following: Set high-level goals for both students and teachers to encourage both parties to strive for personal best and succeeded in implementing long-term strategy with positive results.
  • FHHS has consistently recognized as one of the better schools in Washington as reported in the U.S. and World News annual rankings. In 2012 we were ranked as high as 5th in the State and 161 in the nation.
  • Joint School District 244 Teacher of the Year 2003
  • Inducted in to the Sublette County Coaching Hall of Fame 2017
  • Coach of the Year - Basketball 1996 and 1998.

Interests

Besides building relationships with colleagues and working together to move the needle for each student, I enjoy opening opportunities for all students through a variety of curricular and extra-curricular avenues.

Hobbies

Although I love my work, I also enjoy being with my family, exercise, fishing, woodworking, and either participating or watching all sports with a special love for basketball.
