Receive and analyze documents to assist with Medicaid provider enrollment/registration. Review and deny/approve Provider Participation Agreements, MCO Restricted provider Registration requests assuring compliance with Federal and State Regulations and requirements. This position required contacting applicants or other agencies to obtain addition information to complete task. Meeting and exceeding productivity standards for the Provider Enrollment staff. Receive and analyze various reports (such as monthly pharmaceutical pricing), research, evaluate, track, and trend data (such as comparisons of procedure codes or provider information), write technical directives based on above (such as numbered memos), write newspaper notices and other communications related to new rules/policies being implemented, provide program assistance to Children's Medical Services by facilitating enrollment of Medicaid providers into the program (by writing provider action request to add DOH span in Omnicaid system, ensure compliance with laws (including provider license research/verification and assuring license information is maintained in Omnicaid system.

Interpret and apply policies/regulations and make final eligibility determinations for childcare assistance. Review client applications and related materials in preparation for interviews. Explain childcare assistance programs available, laws, policies, procedures; and advise clients of required documentation, rights to appeal, and responsibilities upon accepting benefits. Interview clients to obtain financial, parental, academic information, etc. needed to determine eligibility for child care assistance. Review and verify information utilizing Agency, State and Federal resources. Analyze, organize and enter client information into Agency database systems. Perform various computer operations to record actions, make changes and distribute benefits to client's provider. Conduct periodic reviews and/or rertifications of ongoing cases, and make appropriate changes to client's files or benefits. Prepare financial computations in order to determine co-payments, payments to Providers as well as determine under/overpayments to Providers in order to initiate restitution to Department if necessary. Management of high caseloads (approx. 400) as well as work with providers of these clients. Knowledge and comprehension of new Welfare Reform Laws are a necessity on order to fulfill these duties.

Greet clients, answer multi-line phones, type correspondence, i.e. violation reports, arrest and holds, and other documents necessary to submit to the Courts and other State officials. Prepare daily and monthly transmittals to State Treasurer¿s Office (for probation & parole fees and restitution) that has been collected and receipted from clients. Preparation of parole hearing information. Give instructions to clients as left by their PPO.
Tracking of clients through preparation of client caseload list by means of data entry procedures, entering intake, discharges, and follow-up information into the computer for easy access and statistical reports. Preparation of new clients files for their PPO's use. Preparation of time sheets. This job dealt greatly in community relations, many of the other entities I worked closely with included, APD, BCSO, inmates, reintegrationers, parolees, probationers, correctional personnel, DA's office, Judges and other officials of the courts, as well as victims of these clients that were under our supervision.
