  • In my primary role at the Archives Department, I assist in the special preservation of items and records related to the university's history. Additionally, I contribute to organizing open house events, responding to community queries, and preparing for in-class visits often though time-sensitive research.
  • My biggest accomplishment in this role was locating previously “lost” artwork that were misfiled in record keeping. This resulted in thousands of dollars of irreplaceable artwork being recovered.

  • From January 2024 to May 2024 I attended the New York State Assembly Internship Program. This program, hosted by the Assembly Intern Committee, offered undergraduate students the opportunity to work in the State Assembly while equally earning college credits. This program required us to work full-time as an Intern in an Assemblymember’s office, to which I was assigned senior Assemblyman Kenneth P. Zebrowski (Chair of the Assembly Committee on Corporations, Authorities & Commissions). Additionally, this program required us to complete an academic portion of the internship at the same time.
  • In regards to the academic portion of the internship program, I was required to take classes and complete research projects that paired with the ongoing legislative session. These involved following the realtime developments of the Assembly and learning overall skills in the process of state government, especially during the budget season.
  • In regards to the portion of the internship program in Assemblyman Zebrowski’s office, I served alongside the Assemblyman and senior staff to conduct the legislative and daily duties of the office work. This included writing sponsor’s memorandums, resolutions and other legislative documents, receiving and responding to constituent inquiries, and conducting doing legislative research. Upon completing the Internship Program (Received an “A” Grade), I continued as a full-time Intern in Assemblyman Zebrowski’s office for the remainder of the legislative session, ending in June 2024.
